“Touch not my anointed ones, and do my prophets no harm.” — Psalm 105:15 (KJV)

From the tender age of five, I have walked with Christ boldly, intimately, and faithfully. He has always been more than just my Savior; He is my closest friend, confidant, and protector. The Lord is fiercely protective of His beloved children, shielding, defending, and vindicating all who belong to Him.

God has blessed me with a heart that loves deeply and forgives readily. Having been enveloped in divine love throughout my life, it has become second nature for me to extend that same love to others. My greatest joy has always been witnessing others thrive. In His wisdom, God has entrusted me with numerous spiritual gifts, the most profound of which is the gift of discernment. This gift allows me to sense the motives and spirits around me, even in the absence of words.

There have been moments when I sensed that specific individuals did not care for me, not because of anything I said or did, but rather due to the underlying feelings of jealousy, envy, and insecurity. It is a painful reality: sometimes people harbor resentment not for who you are, but for the divine light that shines within you. They struggle to celebrate others because they have not yet discovered peace within themselves.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5

Years ago, I encountered an individual in a leadership position at work who developed an unusual fascination with my life. Initially, our connection seemed genuine. I formed a friendship with his wife, respected his family, and offered kindness freely. However, admiration gradually transformed into comparison, and comparison ultimately led to resentment. Before long, lies began to circulate untruths crafted to tarnish my reputation and impede my progress. Nevertheless, I opted for silence over conflict.

I chose not to confront him, even though I knew the truth. Instead, I placed everything in God's hands, having learned that when the Lord fights your battles, victory is assured. I refused to live in bitterness, shame, or fear. Just as Scripture promises, I witnessed divine justice unfold not with joy, but with a sense of solemn understanding.

“You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked.” — Psalm 91:8

The man who once sought to destroy my reputation fell gravely ill. In my heart, I sensed that his suffering was tied to the harm he had inflicted on me and others. Yet, even as I saw him in pain, my spirit was moved to pray for him. I asked God to show mercy for the sake of his children and for the redemption of his soul. My mother had once advised me to explain to him the reasons behind his suffering and encourage him to repent. However, I knew deep down that he already understood.

He had committed this transgression before, spreading falsehoods about a young African man pursuing his Ph.D., ultimately costing him his position. His pattern of deceit had inflicted pain on many. Yet even now, God, in His mercy, offers another opportunity a chance to repent, to change, and to embrace peace. However, next time, divine grace may not be as forgiving.

“Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” — Romans 12:19

To those who may not fully grasp this: Consider how you treat others, as you can never truly know a person's significance in the eyes of God. I have witnessed the Lord perform remarkable acts on my behalf. He has assured me that He will make my adversaries my footstool, provide for me in every aspect, and ensure that His promises for my life are fulfilled.

“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please.” — Isaiah 55:11

My hope and prayer are that this man and anyone walking in bitterness or deceit will turn their heart toward Christ. Life is too precious to waste on jealousy and competition. God created each of us with a divine purpose. The moment we stop comparing and start walking in that purpose, peace and fulfillment will follow.

As for me, I will continue to walk in love, humility, and faith. For I know that the God who has always taken care of me will continue to fight my battles, perfect all that concerns me, and cover me with His unshakable grace.

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14
