I was born in the sun-drenched city of Miami, Florida, nurtured in the warmth of a Jamaican household, and shaped by a lineage as rich and diverse as the vibrant community that surrounds me. My heritage is a colorful tapestry of Jamaican, Panamanian, German, English, and American roots, reflecting the cultural mosaic of my home, a city where palm trees sway like gentle whispers, dolphins frolic offshore, flamingos wade in serene waters, and luxury harmonizes with tradition like old friends.

Although I was raised in the heart of Hurricanes territory, my allegiance lies elsewhere; I am a Blue Devil, with a quiet yet steadfast pride in my connection to Duke.

My childhood was abundant in love and joy, nurtured in a home where culture was celebrated, music resonated loudly and often, travel ignited curiosity, and food conveyed stories older than myself. I was surrounded by individuals who valued knowledge and lived with unwavering integrity.

 

My education spanned both private and public schools, which together afforded me a well-rounded perspective on the world. Many afternoons were spent on a college campus beside my mother and grandmother, women of quiet elegance and tireless dedication who instilled in me a profound respect for education, excellence, and perseverance.

Faith has consistently been the steady rhythm of my life. Raised in the church by my grandfather, a police officer who later became a pastor, I was immersed in sacred experiences such as Bible studies, youth gatherings, and community outreach. These elements formed the foundation of my values. His example demonstrated to me that strength and tenderness can coexist, and that serving others is one of life’s highest callings.

As I journey through life, my heart remains attuned to grace, allowing me to find beauty in both the sacred and the simple. I cherish deep connections and firmly believe that every blessing, no matter how small, flows from the hand of God.​
