Q: What is the meaning behind your blog’s name, La Vie Saphir?

A: La Vie Saphir translates to The Sapphire Life. The sapphire is my birthstone, symbolic of wisdom, truth, and divine favor, qualities I deeply cherish and aspire to reflect in my life and writing. The name is also a nod to my love for the French language, which I studied for five semesters in college. It also honors one of my most inspiring professors, Dr. Laroche, whose passion for language and culture left a lasting impression on me. To me, La Vie Saphir is more than a name; it’s a reflection of a life refined by grace, faith, and growth, much like a sapphire shaped by time and pressure into something radiant.

“A woman who walks with God will always sparkle with purpose.”

Q: Why did you decide to create a blog?

A: I created La Vie Saphir as a form of therapy, an intimate space to breathe, reflect, and rediscover joy. I spend much of my time serving others, and while that brings me great fulfillment, I recognize the need to pour back into my own soul. Writing became my sanctuary, a sacred pause where I could commune with God, process my journey, and express the beauty found even in brokenness.

“Writing is my prayer in motion, each word a whisper of healing.”

Q: What has been your best blog post so far?

A: Without question, “The 10 Beautiful Things I Learned Encountering a Narcissist.” That post was born out of pain but matured into wisdom. It’s a story of resilience, forgiveness, and the quiet strength that blooms through adversity. I wrote it not from bitterness, but from the perspective of a woman who found beauty in ashes and peace in surrender.

“Even the sharpest wounds can become sacred scars, reminders of how deeply God heals.”

Q: What do you hope will come from your blogging?

A: My most profound hope is twofold: that this journey continues to be healing for me and that it becomes a soft place for others to land. I pray that each post offers comfort, encouragement, and a reminder that we are never alone in our struggles. If one heart feels seen, one soul feels strengthened, or one woman finds her way back to joy, then La Vie Saphir will have fulfilled its purpose.

“May my words be like light through stained glass shaped by grace, reflecting His glory.”
